Secured SNF Mobility Funding

In the latest round of the SNF Mobility funding I have been granted a two year Postdoc at Caltech for my project Shear rate mediated formation and colonisation of marine snow hosted at the Orphan Lab. Incredibly excited and honored to start working on new research.

Successful defense

A while back I successfully defended my doctoral thesis on “How bacteria reach and maintain steady state in bulk and on a single-cell level – a dry mass perspective” in the group of Prof Roman Stocker at ETH Zürich.
Thank you for the opportunity to follow my research ideas and explore microbial ecology in the lab. Thanks also to my amazing committee Prof Mary Ann Moran, Prof Martin Polz, and Prof Terry Hwa for the support and advice i got throughout the years.
